Jethot LT install

Putting up the finishing touches on my spring mod list, and ive got a few questions about jethot LTs. I plan on keeping EGR and Air just because i dont wanna mess with removing it.

1. How much heat shielding is necessary? one persons guide had ATON of it done.

2. Im going to be doing a cam install at the same time, so I plan on having the whole front clip off. Would this make the install any easier?

Ive almost reconsidered midlegths after reading some peoples LT install stories lol.

Any input is great,

Austin

I dint use any extra heat shielding. I re-routed my O2 sensor wire cause I kept getting a fault light, but I wouldnt do this unless its necessary.
The front clip missing might help, might hurt. Its hard to say. Just as things come up deal with them. It will be worth it. It took me 3 days to do mine. I was totally by myself also. Every second of the install was done by me alone, so it can be done.
Also take care running your plug wires. LT's love to fry them.

You don't need to remove the front clip. I don't think it would be a good idea to keep the air and egr b/c it will be more trouble to keep it than to remove it. You should put Over the valve cover wire kit on you list also which costs $99 at Thunder Racing. Goodluck Later Clint

What kind of gains do you get by removing the EGR and Air pump?

Not much but it will clear out some room under hood and it would be a pain to hookup that little pipe on the headers and unhook it to work on the engine later on too.
