I didnt say it was, i was just saying that its not always sagging motor mounts like the guy i quoted was suggesting.

My Jet-Hots fit just fine and my engine has 106,000 miles on it with the original motor mounts.

Re: Jet Hot V.S. Hooker PICS INSIDE !!

I bought Hookers and then sent them to Jet Hot to coat them. It did cost me more, but they still look decent after 26k and they fit perfectly......well I did have to grind some on the tranny crossmember but thats cause I run true duals with purple horny header muffs.
Ground clearance is not the best but I run an Eibach drag launch kit and it jacks the *** end up so it helps out as long as my exhaust mounts don,t break.
I ordered mine without O2 bungs and just welded O2 bungs into my hornies, I can turn em any which way I want and then tighten em up.
Old school has its advantages.

I never understood the round vs d-flange thing. I mean; you still got a d shape hole going into a round tube either way. Think about it....

Good post. Headers are one of the most important components of any buildup.
The quality of the Jet Hots definitely looks superior.

One concern, however. The front primary of the drivers side Jet Hot looks like it has an individual flange, as in not connected to the rest of them. I've had some unpleasant experiences with MAC shorties having individual flanges warping and leaking if they are removed and reinstalled more than once...
A flange connecting all of the primaries prevents that.

^^Jethots are def superior in welds and thicker flanges design but their fitment with the driver side just isnt teh greatest

reincarnating an older post
after having my headers done for a while and all is good after some tweaking
i was just wondering , how many ppl that have had clearance problems with teh jethot headers and had their subframe connectors instaled b4 hand

did u have ur SFCs put on on a post life or on a drive on

i had mine put on when it was on a post lift, at the time i did not knwo that that was bad and apparently teh mechanic wasnt smart enough to realize it , but teh car sits perfectly level and straight, but would this have contributed to my clearance problems and anyone elses?

but im just wondering if its a bad design or a default of other sort

on my install with the jet hots my hooker y-pipe wasnt clearing on the driver side frame , right by the tranny cross member . It looked like the bend was in the wrong spot. I even ordred another from the company and they said they never had a problem . so i took it to a exhaust shop were he re-cut and welded it.

ok , im just trying to c if its some sort of design flaw or if its b/cof other things that have been done to teh car , mostly stiffening the chassis or body to where it could effect teh clearance problems
