Jet Hot are the same as Hooker, but cheaper and better coated
Re: Jet Hot are the same as Hooker, but cheaper and better coated
I had a set of hookers jet-hot coated back about 8 years ago. I also bought a set of hookers coated (they are on another car). The hooker coating flaked within 2 years, the Jet-hott coating is only flaking where it was scraped, and around the collector where the tubes enter the collector. But they are 8 years old. I plan on buying some Kooks later so I have no plans of recoating these.

theyre of a VERY similar design, the difference being from what ive heard jet-hot is a little higher qaulity overall since holley bought out hooker. But i have hookers on my car because thats what i was brought up around.. and the "I love my Hooker" sticker is just cool lol. Aside from that the only major difference is the fact that the hookers have eqaul length primary tubes which is suppose to help with exhuast scavenging *shrug*. Just get whichever is closer to your budget, in most cases. (sometimes jet-hot is the preffered choice regardless) aside from kooks that is lol.
Re: Jet Hot are the same as Hooker, but cheaper and better coated
I've heard people complain about the coating rusting off from both brands. I can also vouch that the coating on my Pacesetters has started to rust in less then a years time and my car is never driven in rain or snow. It seems the only people that don't complain about quality issues are the owners of Kooks products.
