Jet Hot LTs & custom exhaust question

I am currently running Jet Hot Lts and have hooker aerochamber catback and am in the process of fininishing the exhaust. I am putting cutouts on the collectors with 3" DMH elec. cutouts. The problem I am running into is that the cutout on the left side is too close to the floorboad and tranny cross member. so using 3" pipe to go to the I pipe will not fit without cutting down the collector. I want to keep my headers intact so I was going to run 2.5" pipe from the end of the cutout to the I pipe on the left side of the Yand leave it 3" on the right side of the Y (b/c it fits no problem) Am i going to run into problems with backpressure or anything else if i run 2.5" on the left and 3" on the right of the Y pipe? Can I run true duals instead? Any ideas pertinent to my current setup would be greatly appreciated.
by the way I want to keep the exhaust system as unboltable as possible. and I am dead set on having the cutouts right after the collectors.

thanks
