those of you with jet hot long tube headers....did you need extensions for your rear 02 sensors....? if so..how long? well how long on each side? since there are 2? i need to know asap so i can order the 02 extensions.

 

Yep, I ordered two 24" O2 extenders through LS1 Speed. They're fairly inexpensive and get shipped pretty fast. I think some years might be a little different, so give them a call and they'll make sure you get what you need.

 

I just installed my jet hots this past weekend, both sides of mine needed to be extended about 2 feet. I didnt' buy extentions though, I spliced in wire myself. For $25 per side or whatever it is I can do a little soldering/heat shrinking! Heres what I did: soldered in 2 feet of 18guage wire, put heat shrink over the splices, wrapped elec tape all the way down the wires, put that plastic wire protector stuff thats split doen the middle ya know, whatever its called, and then wrapped that with some heat reflecting tape. I think they'll be safe! Oh, and I also had to lengthen the switch wire that goes to the starter solenoid about 6 inches or so.
