I didn't need to drop my k-member. Basically all I took out to install these were starter, alternator, oil filler tube, and spark plugs.

u really should use a lift, unless u can get the car very very high on jacks.

I did my install with only basic jack stands, not even all the way up.

I removed the motor mounts, spark plugs, and starter, jacked the engine all the way up. Passenger side went in no prob after a little work, had to grind down the lip on the K-member for the drivers side.

All in all took me about 2 hours, granted i had the intake, valve covers, and everything off the front of the engine for a cam install from the beginning.

oil filter, spark plugs (not necessary, but might as well), starter, altenator, oil dip stick........ and the kicker..... the motor mounts made all the difference in the world for me.

take out the bolts in the motor mounts, place a piece of wood on a jack and place on oil pan, Jack slowly and carefully until headers go right in.

Just did my Hooker Long tube this weekend...well most of it. Hope to finish tomorrow. Good luck.
