OK the 1/4 in thing was a little off. Its a little more than half way in. I dont think I could get a washer thats thick enough to fit inj there, a spacer would be likely, but I dont see that working either.

I got 5 of em in there nice and tight, but that one wont go in straight at all. I have no F'in Idea why not. Maybe I got the headers with one hole just a little off, and you got the one with two. I wanna call Jet-Hot and scream at everyone there. WHY would you make the headers with emissions that the emmisions dont even fit?! Hmmm shoulda took your time on that one huh?! And then they want YOU to go buy the part from the store after you just dropped $500+ for the headers!!!! Thats BS! I think they should send em to me overnight air mail

OK the adapters for the air fittings should get here tomarrow, but another major problem is the hooker y-pipe is too wide, it only connects to 1 collector, so i'm going to have to drive it with open headers to get the y-pipe to fit.

Yeah my Hooker Y-Pipe is a little too wide as well. I drove it twice with open headers and the WHOLE car shakes when I give ANY gas at all. Not sure if its because of the open headers, or if its a problem with the install. Also my egr tube isnt bolted on. I still cant get it to line up correctly to bolt it. So I got it in as far as I could. Any ideas?

How bad does it shake? Did you reinstall all the plug wires in the right places?

It shakes real bad when I give it any gas at all. And the plug wires were routed so that they reach only to the plug they go to. Keep in mind though that the headers are only going to the y-pipe tubes and the tubes arent connected to anything. Could that be the problem?

Yes the inside of your car will vibrate like hell with open headers. I ran open headers for over a month.

On the second bolt from the front... That one needs to go in before the others and be snugged up early, otherwise it binds on the curve of the primary tube and will not go in straight. You will need to loosen the other bolts and get that one started first.
My recent experience is with FLPs, but any header I ever installed had the same issue with bolts in that spot. Mike

I put the last one and the first one in first, dropped the gasket in and did the middle two in and then 2nd and 5th one.
