Jet Hot Gaskets

Hey, I ordered some jet hot long tubes a while back from forcefed I didnt really pay any attention to the fact that the ports on the headers were O shaped. I have heard of other people with these headers having O shaped ports on them. Well the lt1 exhaust port on the head is D shaped obviously... I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what gaskets I should use with these headers?

Just go with the Fel-Pro 1406s, they work fine.

Re: Jet Hot Gaskets

I read on here that those gaskets leak.. I saw a reference to some gaskets called earls gaskets but I couldnt find if they worked with the O shaped headers. Are the ports on your Jet hots O shaped also?

Re: Jet Hot Gaskets

Use stock GM metal gaskets and drill the holes for the header bolt on each end of the gasket to match the headers. Trust me they will not leak. I used the gaskets that came with the headers and blew them out in a few weeks.

Re: Jet Hot Gaskets

If you read enough posts, you will find evidence of any gasket leaking. Any gasket you buy has the potential to leak if not installed correctly, so go with anything other than the paper gaskets and make sure your bolts are tight and stay tight.
