Jet-Hot coat y-pipe or not?

I am going to get me Edelbrock shorties coated by Jet-Hot next week and can't decide if I should do the y-pipe along with the headers or not. Does it get too hot and will it cause any problems if I don't coat it. Please help me out and let me know if it is worth it or not. Thanks

I don't think you really need the y-pipe coated but it's always nice to do it if you have the money. The coating would help prevent corrosion.

Yes, get it coated. It will be better protection than the black paint.

The black paint burns off after they heat up the first 2 or 3 times. It is just for protection during shipping. I would DEFINATELY get them coated as my uncoated Edelbrocks are rusted.

Edelbrock headers? I know when I was looking at getting them on my IROC (it's been three years) they had serious issues with flanges warping have you done you're homework on those headers?

I have already received the Edelbrocks and they look good. The flanges look straight and they are thick so I don't think I will have a problem with them warping. Anyways, anyone else have an opinion on getting the y-pipe coated. If it's worth it I'll do it, but if not I will save my money for other mods. Thanks
