jegster torque arm? anygood

I love mine...it was a huge improvement over the stock torque arm as far as hooking up goes. Major plus: you'll never have to replace a tranny mount ever...the Jegster mounts to the transmission tunnel instead of the tranny case and takes all of the stress off of the mount (I'm still running a cheapie rubber AutoZone replacement mount). Downside: you're going to have a lot more noise and vibration inside the car...the torque arm acts as a giant amplifier. If any part of your drivetrain (tranny back) makes noise, you're going to hear it now, crystal clear.

Speaking of...a guy on my board has a Jegster torque arm for sale for cheap. I don't know how much shipping will run you, but it might be a bargain at $175...

Some people like them, some don't...I guess it depends on how much noise and vibration you can deal with. I know some guys that go insane if they hear the slightest bit of noise coming from the drivetrain...then there's guys like me that can put up with the clunking and thumping that you're going to have with a torque arm like that.
Will it make noise? Yes. Will you feel it clunk when you shift? Yes. Can you put up with both of the above knowing that you'll hook a helluva lot better than you can stock? Maybe, maybe not...depends on what category you fall under. He probably falls under the "no noise" category, and that's probably the reason why he's selling it.

As jeff said, most aftermarket TA will bring more road noise/gear whine into the passenger cabin. With every step to making your car more like a race car, is a step backwards from a street car.
The jegster design is a good one, and as some others out there takes the mounting point off the tranny mount and onto the tranny tunnel. Some other companies use a supplied cross member with their TA for the mounting point, which also works. Whatever you do, make sure you get the mounting point off the tranny mount.
Biggest drawback IMO for the jegster and the reason it is cheaper than others is because instead of supplying a cross member, it actually mounts up in the tranny tunnel. To install this you will have to remove seats/carpeting and do some drilling.
