Ive tried everything i can think of...

I have a 1996 trans am. For some reason i cannot seem to fix my overheating problem. It is running constant 210 or higher and even on the highway it still runs that hot.
Things i have done so far
-New radiator cap
-New water pump
-New thermostat
-Bleed the lines
-Checked guage and its accurate
The fans come on around 240 but it normaly doesnt reach that high unless i floor it and then just stop and let it idle. I would really like for my car to run around 180's. If anyone has an idea please let me know

Have you had it hooked up on a scanner? Mine was doing that, but as it turned out, my coolant temperature sending unit was giving an erroneous signal. I've got the correct signal on my car now, and it never gets past about 180, even in the heat of the day. Sorry, can't say too much about stop and go, as the car's not a daily driver.

I had your SAME exact problem, I replaced my radiator and it all went away (I also replaced all the items you replaced) Your radiator could be all gumed up. Flush it or get a new one for like $150 or something.

Check for debris in front of the radiator. Mine sucked up a plastic supermarket bag up in there causing me similar problems.

By the same token, if you have no air dam, not enough air will get to the radiator.

You can replace all the parts in the world, but unless you install a 160* thermostat and get the fans reprogrammed to come on earlier, it will still run 210+*

He said it still runs hot even on the highway. On the highway the car should get enough air to run 180 or 160 depending upon his thermo. He doesn't need the fans reprogrammed to run cool on the highway.

Cool

Might have the radiator flushed out.Sounds like something is clogged.(Could be hoses?).
