Its like I'm hitting a wall at 3K RPMS and not wanting to climb any higher!!!

Help guys , well It seems im hitting a wall at 3k rpms. Eevn at highway speeds thecar wont go any higher than 3k rpms....it might creep up a little bit but very very slowly........ can this be an ignition probleM????? Its best described like it feels im towing a boat..hahahahah
Also once the car warms up it runs like a dog..
this sucks I want my Lt1 back

Ive so far changed O2 sensors
Cat converter
TPS
cleaned IAC

Any suggestions and or past experiences would be very helpful

Once you hit this "wall" does the engine sound any different, like it is sputtering, or does it vibrate or feel any differently indicating that it might be missing?

the wall

It sounds differently...To the point it made me think it was a clogged cat, so I had it replaced along with the O2 sensors, but the wall is stillt here......It vibrates a little more too...its not as smoothAnd also idle is alittle shaky too.

any ideas anyone???/ can it be ignition related?

A buddy of mines 94 Z did that and it was his opti. He changed his water pump and opti and everything was fine. (the waterpump obviously has nothing to do with that.) He would get on it and at 2500-3k rpm, it would just bog really bad and wouldn't go any higher and it freaked him out. I told him it could be the opti, he changed it and everything was fine.

I would check and clean or replace your air filter. My car did the samething when I smashed my cone filter.

My car would lose power after 4500 and wouldn't rev at all. felt like the cam was ate to hell, but I pulled the filter off and it was like 50 hp from that.

it is either the coil, ICM, or opti..Check your filter, but I doubt it is that. Replace the coil, or perhaps look at your coil wire. Worst case its gonna be your opti, but in order to be your opti, the car has to be missing pretty bad

HUMMM

I CHECKED THE AIRS FILTER CONE LAST NIGHT, AND ITS IN ITS PLACE AND looks good and normal.

I never tought about the coil......Do you think it can actually do that??? can the coil cause you to not go to high rpms...well in my case not go above 3k rpms the way tis supposed to?......

oh of course it can, it happened to me. It stumbles and misses like crazy when the coil is out. But before you actually replace the coil, check the wire from the opti to the coil, they tend to rip. But if all looks well, replace the coil...
