Alright everyone the beast has awakin. I finally got the engine fired up today. At first it ran like crap but thats bc we had a few plug wires crossed, after that it ran pretty smooth, it idles at about 700 and is pretty smooth, the engine backfires some when you rev it up but i was told thats bc i am running open headers. The oil pressure was about 65-70 psi at start up which I was happy with. The problems that i am having is this. When i took the car for the test drive it would die if i hit the gas and let off real quick. I was at a stop light and put my foot on the brake and revved it up to about 2200, bc i have a stall converter, when i let off the gas it died, so i put it back up in park and it started right up no problems, it does the same thing when its in reverse, i hit the gas and let off quick and it dies, it doesnt hesitate or anything, it just dies and then it starts right back up.I was told this may be a tuning issue since the car hasnt been started in a year and has had no battery in it. The second problem is that I have a leak coming from one of my tranny cooler lines, anyone have any ideas as to what it may cost to have some new tranny cooler lines ran?? I am pretty excited since we have had to take 2 motors out and this is the second new one that i have had to put it. Anyone?? Could my car be dieing bc of the stall converter?? It didnt die when it was in park, only in drive and reverse. I would really appreciate any input anyone can give. Dustin.
