Isnt 14.10 a little slow?

Hey everybody im new to this board so bare with me until i can catch on to how you folks go about running this site. I have a 97 WS6 with a A4, and cannot for the life of me get this thing to run a 13 second quarter mile. Its stock other than MSD opti and coil. I have gutted cats with flowmaster and stock 3.23 gears. Im leaving with consistant 2.02s 2.03s 60 footers with a 9.03 1/8 @ 78 and 14.10 @ 97 in the quarter with no spin whatsoever. With the a 60 shot Compucar nitrous in a bag it went a 1.80 60ft on street tires with a 8.07 1/8 and a 12.58 quarter @ 109. I cant figure out why its not going 13s on motor. But strangly the car is insanly consistant. Is this about average for a auto LT1 or is it a little off the numbers. It also has 145,000 miles on it but shows no sign of being tired. Any help is greatly apprieciated.

14.10 is not that bad. There's plenty of ways to put it in the high 13s fairly cheap.

I can think of plenty of ways to make it faster but my wallet dont have the ability to think like i do at the moment. Mabey i should try to modify it first LOL. I have a complete spare LT1 at work, but were so backed up building every one elses big race motors that i cant even begin to engineer a winning combination that fits my perspective. Ive been thinking of or am quite sure that im going to build a 396 otta the mill. But if any of u guys need any engine building info i will be glad to help in any way can.

Oh im working on that. Im planning on making a chamber like MAC makes for the stangs and running true duals out the back. I havent decided on the mufflers yet, and have also thought about making my own. Problem is, is i just cant find the time actually make what i have designed. "Time" u cant make it borrow it and unfortunitly it isnt forsale.

True Duals on a Fbody = Alot of money and it's not really that much better than a regular single in, dual out cat back. Mine is a 96 6-speed and the fastest ive gotten was 14.5 @ 100 with some bolt-ons, but thats with a 2.62 60 ft.

Duals are pretty cheap and when you get to certain power levels nothing can beat them. Just get an X pipe, bullets, and turndowns.

Where do you live? Track elevation?
No one person can tell you whether it's good or bad until you can give track condition details.

The 3:23 rear gears aren't helping. Changing to 3:73's would do the trick, easy.

Your trap speed alone should put you in the 13s.

Not really. 97 mph traps, 2.0 60' time and 14.1 ET are all right on par.

Is that a typo? or will a 60 shot really pick you up that much? If it does, could you tell me where you bought that setup from so i can get mine on order.

Yeah i saw that too im guessing he means 13.58, b/c i highly doubt that he dropped 1.5 seconds off from a 60 shot unless he accidently put the wrong jet in...
