Iridium

I was wondering if there is any draw back to running iridium spark plugs? Do they need to be gapped to 0.50? im not really sure, give me any clues. Im running em now and i gapped em but car is still runnin bad. Could it be plugs?

Re: Iridium

my NGK TR55 IX's were gapped closer to .060 originally and a narrowed the gap to .050 after I got some minor miss. They ran fine @ .050 for over 50k+ miles with a mostly stock motor / with minor tuning changes. I would think that is a wide gap for some plugs but NGK says .050 so that's what I did. Of course I'm no spark plug expert, that's just my experience with Iridiums in my LT1.
Brent will like that 4 minute wait on the TTT.
