internals?

while the Lt1 block is a little different than a regular 350 sbc, are the internals the same? crank, rod, pistons, ect...

Re: internals?

Different crank, 2 piece rear main seal. Stock pistons are hyperutetic (spelling) and better rods than stock SBCs.

Re: internals?

ok, heres where my question lies, bare with my ignorance.

i started building a sbc late model 4 bolt main,(had an xtra block) had it line-honed, bored, and began smoothing out the block entirely. realized theres more to change than i thought. so went and got an Lt1 block to start over.
i already have a 400 steal crank, forged pistons, i beam rods, from probe industries, also rings and all the bearings. will they still work on the Lt1 block or do i have to specifically get all Lt1 internals ?

Re: internals?

they'll work, as long as its balanced, I recommend getting a keyed hub though
