Interesting ASR problem

According to my RPO's, I do not have ASR. Yet everytime I turn my car on, the ASR Off light comes on and stays on. I checked under the hood, and there is an empty place for the relay, however, there are no provisions built into the box(just like for DRL's). What possible causes could there be for this? Besides a fubar PCM.( FYI, my tach and trip odo are not working, and I think my car has programming for other gears from 2.73's, since when it is at 45, I am actually going about 55-60, and it revs like a sunbitch til redling, not falling on it's face at 4500 like my other 95 Z28 A4.) I am going to switch out PCM's with my sister's 95 Z28 (I sold it to ther, I couldn't stand to get rid of it altogether) and see what that does...Any thoughts...I had one, that the car had a 12 bolt on it, and it was sold to someone that had 2.73's or something with ASR, and that is why the ASR light is on all the time. Does this sound likely?

Sounds like you might be on top of it. The pcm seems to be in need of some work.

Yeah, i know. I was hoping for it not to be. Anyone know some good sources for 95 PCM's? Used, but functional is A-OK. Or would LT1-Edit make a difference? I doubt it, but you never know.
