Intake Tract on a WS6

I have a question about the intake tract on my 1996 WS6. The question I have is that the pipe connecting the air box/MAF to the intake doesn't go straight in...kind of "kinked" on a downward slope. The airbox looks like it sits too high. Is this normal (I have changed a few things...TB, heads, cam etc) because it doesn't look like a straight shot at the intake? I put it back together the way it came from the factory and I'm not missing any parts aswell.

Do the Fernco mod. Straightens/smooths out airflow. Six bucks at Home Depot for a 3"X3" piece of fernco rubber ducting.

I have a Fernco waiting to go on when I finish my NX kit installation. The one I got is 3" on one end and then tapers to 4" on the other for an easier fit on the throttle body.

well, to let you know that won't work.... that 3" to 4" one... I tried that one first.. it's way sloppy on the TB, there's no way it'll seal correctly.

Just use the 3" to 3" one and soak it in boiling water for about a minute then it'll just slip right on.

Bummer, but thanks for letting me know before I wasted too much time trying to install it.

is there a complete kit you can buy to convert the Lt1 air intake setup to that of the Ls1 including the lid?
