intake questions! need help!

intake questions! need help!

im wanting to remove all the egr stuff, any of the hoses that are apart of the egr sysytem i want gone. im confused as to what i can take off and what i should do to the open brass tubes on the side of the intake.. if anyone has a picture where they have done this it would be very helpful! by the way i have a 1996 z28, freshly rebuild 355, pacesetter longtubes, blah blah blah..

This is the EGR stuff. Is that what you are talking about?

You'll need to buy or build some block off plates for the back of the manifold. The one on the left to block the valve can be purchased from GM. The one on the right I welded the hose end shut after cutting out the flexible metal hose.

GM has discontinued the block off plate. You can get them in the aftermarket from places like SJM.

Wonder why they discontinued them. They were charging like $20 for maybe $2 worth of metal.
