i have a 93 z 28 would an regular lt4 intake fit on a 93 . if so would i have to get it ported before i got a 58 mm throttle body on it. or just leave it? thanks

 

The LT4 intake will not fit on LT1 heads without machining the manifold mtg. surface of the head higher (closer to v. cover mtg. surface), or maching off the extra as cast material above the port (at the flange) on the LT4 intake manifold. The LT4 intake is cast with more material above the port roof (at the port flange). As cast, the LT1 and LT4 intake port size is very similar, but cuz of the additional material available for porting, the LT4 intake port roof can be raised a greater amount than the LT1 intake is capable of. The TB openings on the LT4 are the same as the LT1. (52mm)
