Talking Intake Mounted Delteq

Ok, I've had a couple people ask me about this mod, and I've finally got around to writing about how I did it.

I took a piece of aluminum stock I had laying around that was as wide as the top of the fuel rail, cut it 3/4" past the fuel rail mounting bolts in length (Bolts plus 1 1/2"). I then drilled holes for those bolts through the plates.

I mounted the 2 bars on top of the fuel rails with the bolts, then located the coils using the aluminum plate that came with the barebones kit, and marked both the plate and fuel-rail plates with a sharpie.

I then removed everything and then mounted the aluminum plate to the fuel-rail plates using 2 countersunk screws on each fuel-rail plate and threaded into the aluminum plate.

I then just mounted it up there, ran a set of custom taylor made wires with boots over the 6/8 plugs.

This setup works great for me, all the plug wires are ~2' in length with none being more than 6" different. And in my engine bay it fits better looks wise than on the VC or underneath.

Damn that looks pretty good man. I like how its clean and off the valve covers. Good stuff. Cas0484 and I just put new wires on our Delteq set up also. With your mount i'm thinking about doing that. Hopefully we should have pictures soon. Looks good
