Intake Manifolds

I was just wondering if someone can help me pick out an Intake Manifold for my 1995 LT1 TransAm. I have been looking at the Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap LT1/LT4 Intake Manifolds but that is the only one I know of since GM doesnt make the LT4 one anymore. Does any one use this one?

From everything I hear aftermarket manifolds are crap.

Buy a ported stock one if you really want more flow. Elliottsportworks.com

No one can help if you don't give some info on what you have or are planning to do.

You will not need a new intake manifold without a H/C package. Stock is plenty of flow for the stock heads and puny cam.

You can get into the 9's with the stock intake, just needs a little work.
Just read the first page

Gm High Performance Magazine did a test on the Edelbrock manifold with stock heads and with the HP that was gained it was not worth the money

I read that magazine article as well. From what I remember, almost no hp was gained by going to the Edelbrock intake, even after they put the Edelbrock heads on. Definitely the stock piece is more than sufficient.

They might have seen 5hp gain, rather take the $400+ and use it for something else

You won't need to port or upgrade your intake until ~350rwhp. At your point (~300rwhp) you might see a 5hp gain from porting your stocker if that. Not cost effective until you get a heads or atleast a big cam.
