Question intake manifold gasket change any performance?

i'm going to change the gasket this weekend, what i was wondering is if theres any performance mods i could do while the intake manifold is out?

i'm hoping to cure most of these problems!
1.) oil leak (nasty)
2.)white smoke or grey
3.)low rpm bogging
4.)mid to high rpm missfire

any suggestions are welcome!

oh i bought the fasket at summit and they told me i'm getting the sides and the front and back sides gaskets, i thought they only made the sides. thanks !

The LT1 only uses side gakets; you run a bead of RTV along the front and back of the block. Who makes your gasket kit? Most guys have the best luck with the GM intake gaskets, even though I used Felpro everywhere else.
