Intake manifold and distribution
Intake manifold and distribution
Is there anything a porter can do to help with the distribution problems of the LT1 intake manifold? Are there any other ways to work around this problem if running a large (to me anyways) shot of nitrous, say 200 RWHP. I'm looking to build a new shortblock for nitrous, but do not plan on ever running a direct port set-up. Thanks, Rick.
I'm running a dry 300-shot on an LT4 intake that was ported by CNC Cylinder Heads, and the nitrous distribution is surprisingly uniform, proven with a huge number of engine dyno pulls.
Thanks Fred, but what about a wet shot? Thinks theres a diff? Just trying to play it safe and make it as easy as possable for the tuner. If it were a couple of hundred or so for better results and safer tuning, I'm all for it.
Wet can be a problem. The air turns corners, but the mass of the fuel particles make it hard for them to follow the air - they tend to keep going straight. Consider something like the NOS NOSzle system for direct port. Main problem will be raising the fuel rails.
