Intake Manifold

Does the intake manifold need to come off in order to pull the motor from the car? The Haynes manual lists that as a step prior to removal, just wondering if anybody has pulled a motor with it still on.

TPIS actually makes a device called the "Happy Hooker", for pulling the LT1 out the top. It uses the 4 fuel rail bolts in the intake manifold. So, no..... you don't have to pull the intake manifold to pull the engine out the top.
