Intake gasket plastic keepers

The 4 little plastic keepers that hold the gasket in place, are you supposed to leave them on, or are they just to position the gasket, and to be removed before mounting the intake manifold?

thanks!

No need to remove them. They will crush with the gasket.

Re: Intake gasket plastic keepers

I removed mine, but just because they didn't line up the gasket correctly. They are kind of nice if the work correctly. To hold the gasket if you can use them, i would just run your silicon for the front and rear and then put the gaskests on, holds them down good.
