intake and external fuel pump?

i was wondering when you put on and external fuel pump can you leave the stock fuel pump in? I am putting forced induction on my car and know i have to upgrade my pump so i was just wondering if i can just put an external pump on.

yeah, if its a booster (high pressure-inline, like a vortech t-rex) you just put it in sequence. i hope your not planning on trying to make over 500rwhp with a setup like that tho.

Re: intake and external fuel pump?

i was planning i using the walboro 255 intank pump and then later on putting an external pump for the higher horsrepower at high RPM. I will be looking for about 750 to 800 hp on the turbo and close to 500 NA.

Re: intake and external fuel pump?

the stock lines, rails, and those pumps arent going to support that much boosted power. your brake specific fuel consumption is always higher on a power adder motor. take the amount you need for 500rwhp NA, double it, and thats the about how much youll need for 700rwhp w/ a power adder.
