Intake Elbow

Not necessarily tech but you guys would appreciate this more than on the other boards. I found a intake elbow on ebay for 50 bucks, which is cheaper than the Vortech elbows and others, just thought you guys would want to know, since the guy only has 4 left.

Note to moderators: This isn't an ad, I'm not in any way connected to these guys, I just thought the guys on here would like to know about a cheaper elbow option.

That has been posted here several times. Some people have had problems, others have not.

what is that long tube that comes off the stock elbow there for? when i got my car a few months ago there was a little liquid at the bottom of it but i emptied it out and none is there to this day so maybe its a liquid collector? anyways i feel like its there for a reason and i dont plan on replacing it

Its just a resonator to help keep intake noise down.

You can use a Head and Shoulders or Pert shampoo cap. Works perfectly. I used some rtv as well. I only when to an aftermarket elbow for the looks. There's no difference in performance.
