intake backfire?? Help!!!

Need help guys, I finished my head and cam swap, adjusted everything and was running fine, I had some clicking coming from the passenger side valvecover, I figured one of the new roller rockers must have been loose, So I re-adjusted all my rockers.
Now my car backfires through the intake and and dies out after like 10 seconds of running. WTF?
I tried to re-adjust my rockers again but same problem.
Need Help!
Thanks!
Chris...

only thing logically IMO is that the rockers are way too tight. Tight rockers wont let the motor idle b/c the intake valve cant open, which makes the fuel backup behind the intake valve and you get your backfire.

what method did you use to adjust rockers?

I had the motor at #1 TDC, Then adjusted, turned the motor 360 and adjusted, Didn't seem too tight but maybe, Is there another way I can do this?

Tight rockers, cam timing off a tooth (3-4 degrees), plug wires may be crossed... Does it run smooth for 10 seconds, then backfires, then dies?

your backfire is coming from the rocker being too tight. the intake valve is not seating allowing the flame to enter the intake. to adjust them you need to follow the reomendation of the manufacturer of the rockers and make sure you are adjusting the right rockers on each stroke.sometimes it's easy to get confused from the order of which one is which. start over from scratch after loosening them all.had the same problem a long time ago.

runs like crap the whole time, I am thinking that it's probably the rocker adjustment.

I would say keep it simple first. Reset your rockers to zero lash and go from there.
