Angry intake assembly problem??

Ok guys i have question. As some of you may know i just bought a 94 Z28 and i absolutely love it!! But today i was taking a closer look at the engine and i decided to take out the intake filter to see what it looks like, i took it out by unscrewing the clamp that attatches the hose to the airbox, when i tryed putting the airbox back, for some reason no matter how hard i screw the clamp, if you just tug on the airbox a little, the hose will come off, it just like slides off, i just picked up the car and the dealer put armor all over the engine, so i think thats whats causing it, so how the hell can i wipe off that armor all??

damn i still cant get it right, its not like it just slides off, but if you tug on it, it will come off, is it possible that while driving, there is enough pressure to make it pop off

Mine was like that.
Ditch that stock air intake, ASAP.

Use some cleaner like Simple Green or something on it.
