Installing OPTI...
Installing OPTI...
Im reading my manual and it says "Insert the distributor nit onto the splined shaft exactly the same relation to the block in which it was removed. Are they talking about just putting it on the right way...right side up.... or is there spline matching or something. The reasone I ask is that I'm gonna be assembling my motor and wasn't sure if it had to line up in any way.

Just make sure you use the right slot on the opti.
There is 3 slots on the back of the opti and it looks like a clover.
The 2 slots has a smaller tighter gap in the middle, thus not allowing the dowel pin from the cam to go in these 2. The slot that has the bigger opening is the one you need. It will go on nice and easy. If you are forcing it, your probably trying to put it in one of the other slots which is incorrect.
