Installing Oil Accumulator

I'll try asking this question here.

I just brought a Moroso 1 1/2 quart Oil accumulator. Has anyone on her installed on into the LT1? how did you hook it up? The instructions say to tape into the "oil pressue sender" with a T-fitting? know I've taken this motor apart more times than I like.. .and I still don't know where to begin on this...?

Help much appreciated.

Could you use the plug above the oil filter instead of the pressure sender on the back of the block?
I would think that it's much easier to get to the pipe plug above the oil filter
rather than here:

Start with this:

http://www.moroso.com/catalog/catego...?catcode=21007

I was going to do a full accumulator set, but ended up going with a Canton pan. I have this adapter in the package, and its for sale if you're interested.

There is NO way plumbing the accumulator to the small fitting above the oil filter is going to work with the accumulator. The volume won't charge the cylinder properly. The adapter is the only way to go.

PM if you want more details.

backup but if all hell breaks loose you should get one that can adaquetly support the engine. 4qt would do it but where the hell would you mount it on an LT1 the trunk. Just get your bearings coated.

What about tapping into the oil port right above the oil filter for the accumulator? It's 1/4 pipe.

Damn... there is no room under the hood to mount this thing properly... sending it back to get the bigger one that you can mount sideways.

Summit sells this thing for $75 plus shipping.

I'm in Canada, so I'm not sure what shipping will cost, but I will sent it out for $70 USD including shipping. So you save the summit shipping charge and five bux. Let me know if this is fair.
