bore size is fine but was wondering what was needed for new rings. do i just put new crosshatchings or what?

and what about the ridge at the top of the cylinder, is that ok to be left there.

thanks for any help

I would imagine you would want a machine shop mic your cylinders before deciding on rings. The ridge should also be taken care of if they do any honing/boring.

Listen to the man.

You will need to remachine the cross hatching in the cylinder. That is important to the rings sealing. Also if you have that notciable of a lip at the top of your cylinder you may be looking at having to bore it over.

Minimum, ream that ridge[or new rings will break] and hone it..
That's assuming you know it's within spec[bore]
