Installing Msd 6a?
I'm about to install a Msd 6a box that I recently purchased from a board member. I plan on mounting it next to the relay box just like everyone else does. I have the harness already and I'm just trying too see if the other two wires, "the heavy positive and ground," really need to be conected to the battery like the Msd install instructions say to? Can't I just ground it wherever? Is there a closer place to connect the positive also?
Re: Installing Msd 6a?
I also am about to install a 6A. the 6A does not have the built in rev limiter like the 6AL does and I was curious to know what effects that will have on a daily driver? Without the rev limiter, will my car over rev when I "get on it"? Iniatily I was going to get a computer program with a built in rev limiter but that plan hhad a falling out. Will it still be ok to install it anyways?
Re: Installing Msd 6a?
the 6a doesnt remove the stock rev limiter
the 6al just gives you the ability to change the limiter up to the poit that your comp cuts fuel so it would be fine for a daily driver and is a great mod
as for the grounds and positives shoebox has it thats exactly where i put mine
