Installing Hub?
Installing Hub?
Ok...i'll be doing this tomorrow morning. I rented the hub install tool from Autozone, but I realized after that it will not work. Now what? Can I just put a block of wood on front of it and hammer it on? I've read on other threads that if i use the stock bolt i may strip the threads inside the crank, and i really don't want to do that! So what are my options at this point? I dont think i'll find a threaded rod to do the install by tomorrow morning.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I forgot to mention, i rented a hub install tool today from autozone, but i don't think that it will work. Its a long bolt, and a threaded part goes over the bolt, and the nut goes on that threaded part. The problem is that the threaded part is huge. I think i'll go to napa and get that leaf spring bolt if the install tool i rented doesn't work.
