Installing headers. OMG what a PITA

Finally have my RK Sport mid length headers installed and torqued down.
All you guys were right about how slow going and tedious the install is. It has not been hard but I have had to get creative to make things line like they should.
Im still a good week or two from firing it up, I have the clutch, tranny, plug wires all out and I am taking my time and not pushing it.

I sincerely hope that when these headers, new 9MM OVC wires, clutch, and catalytic converter are all installed there is a very noticable improvement in performance, especially above 5K RPM.
Im still several weeks away from doing the 1.6 RR and LT4 spring install.

Everyones tips on header install have been appreciated.

Mid lengths are the worst.

Hooker LT's weren't that bad on an LT1

I hope that you installed them while the tranny was out... makes it alot easier. That's what we did with mine and it went much easier than one we did afterwards with the tranny in.

wasn't to bad for me to put my long tubes on. took me 20 hours. I plan on helping my friends install the same headers on their camaros this winter..

Well worth the power gained...

Oh yeah, The tranny is still out and provides more room.

Glad everything worked out, headers are a pain to install but well worth the gains in the end.
