Ok....

When wiring gauges, you need Power, Ground, Signal, Ignition and/or dimmer. The power and ground are obvious. The ignition you can tap from the fuse box. The dimmer you can tap from the radio if you know what you are doing.

The simplest way is to wire the ignition wire, so the gauge light is always on when the car is on. It is tougher to wire in the dimmer, but it is nice.

Re-read the instructions. Im not sure which wire is the dimmer wire off hand. The dimmer sends a variable voltage signal up to 12v.

To get to switched, dimmed or otherwise, you don't need to go to the switches. Get it right from the fuse panel. What's nice about that is it's easy to get to and you can get taps that slide over the blade of the fuse and allow a slip on connector to be pushed on.

If it says to put it on the IP lights, jump off the I/P Dimmer fuse number 13. This will give you lights when the IP lights are turned on and it will dim with them also.
