Installing double roller timing set
Installing double roller timing set
When replacing the LTx timing set with a Cloyes or similar double roller timing set. Which part number is prefered. I tried a Cloyes 9-3145 True roller set and the cam gear hits the cam retainer plate screws. Any suggestions? This set is supose to fit all 86 and up blocks originally equipped with a roller cam.
Re: Installing double roller timing set
thats it
sounds like you dont have it lined up right
i had a little bit of trouble with mine when 1st trying too install it
after playing around with it for a while, it finally went on without further issue
can you get all three bolts thru it?
youi know about clearancing the timing cover with that setup right?
EDIT: i re read your post
you sure you have the cam gear on correctly? not on backwards...
