Re: Installing a 52mm Throttle Body

Its fairly easy. Just unhook all connectors, coolant hoses, vacuum lines, and throttle linkage, then unhook the four bolts in the front of throttle body to pull it off. Its easy just look at it from every angle and you can see what needs to be unhooked. I did mine the first time without a clue on how to do it and I was fine.

Re: Installing a 52mm Throttle Body

No other modifications are required of the intake manifold for a 52mm.

100% bolt on. Only thing i wouls say is to make sure to replace the base gasket between the TB and the intake.

Very easy and straightforward. Takes no more than 25-30min to swap TBs. I had everything (intake elbow, cai, radiator, condensor, etc) off too so it went even faster.

Why change that gasket? It's a dry gasket so I don't see the importance of changing that particular one. The gasket for the top plate and maybe the IAC I could see, but the TB-Manifold gasket?

Just good general parctice, considering the age of the car. Better safe than sorry for $3.50 IMO

52 mm on a stock engine is a waste of good money spent else where.
