Post Installed wrong coil on my car, sort of.

I just started working at O'Reilly Auto Parts when I did this so don't jump down my throat to bad about this. My car needed a new coil so I looked one up but at the time I did not know my engine code was a P. Two different coils came up for the LT1 (E46 and E46P) not knowing which one to get I just purchased the more expensive one (E46 model). The coil installed just fine without a problem but later on I learned of my mistake. The E46 coil is made for a standard 350 so I'm wondering is their any difference between the standard 350 coil and the LT1 coil? My car has had coil problems since I purchased it so I really don't have a way to tell if the car is acting right.

Thanks

LT1s have 2 different types of coil. The 93-95s had the dual connector (i also think this is the normal 350 coil your talking about) and the 96-97 had the single connector.

I might be wrong, but i know LT1s have 2 different types of connectors.
