Installed opti and new waterpump help

I installed a new opti and waterpump today and started fine but goes past the hottest point fairly quick, no fluid leaks at all. When i filled the radiator i just filled it and didnt bleed it could that be it??? I also put blue rtv on the temature sending unit could that of broke it?? How do i bleed the radiator where are the bleeders?? Also maybe i have the hoses on wrong, anyone have a pick of what hoses go where??? Thanks

The last parts of this procedure is how you should have filled it back up. There are hose diagrams on my site as well.

you need to bleed the system. When i first swapped my waterpump yrs ago i didn't fill up the pump with coolant. I just filled up the radiator with coolant and it took forever to bleed all the air out of the system.

The water pump sensor isnt for your dash gauge, so your seeing heat/air. Bleed the system per shoebox's instructions and you'll be fine.
