ok what do I look for while doing this? If the car runs the same then its a problem but if it changes it is not a problem?

If it changes, then it's a sensor issue, most likely your extensions causing the problem.

If there's no change, then it's likely it's something else.

I spliced my own O2 extensions and did not use any resistors and mine read fine on my scanner. I have a 94 though, so OBD2 needs resistors?

If you unplug the O2 sensors the computer will stay in closed loop and should run off a map already stored in the computer! So it should run smooth if the O2 sensors are your problem. My buddy drove his car 2 hours with open headers and no 02 sensors...it ran fine, just a little rich and horrible gas mileage but it was smooth for the most part!

My o2 extensions don't have resistors and they are fine.
