I installed dumps on my car (manual dumps) to use at the track. I have seen alot of people say on herer that they drive around with the thing open all the time. I have to call you INSANE!!!!!

I started it up and it had a nice lopey ear busting roar. I had to actually attempt to keep my hands on the wheel supressing the urge to plug my ears under throttle, it was that loud!!!! I did notice that the motor revs MUCH freer so I'm anxious to get to the4 track with it.

 

I never really thought mine was that loud and I drive with it open 24/7. Then again you've got a lot more done to your car. You'll get used to it though.

 

yea, with your 383 h/c it must be pretty damn loud, but pretty damn sweet sounding

 

From inside the car you really can't enjoy it, but from about 30 feet away the rumpity and tone is very nice.

 

i have mine open... and its my daily driver... 45 min to and from work!

 

I just got mine installed yesterday and its extremely loud. There is no way Id drive it around town that way but man it lopes like crazy.

 

Thats my exact impressions on it.

 

I have dual electric cutouts after my pacesetter LT's and I absolutly love pulling up next to rice and flicking the switch. Watch their face.. its priceless

 

Yeah, but you dont have a H/C car either, its much louder h/c. My open LT's right now are hurting my ears after 2 hours of driving a day(btw they are not open on purpose) Im doing true duals and waiting on my new 02 extensions and 02's before i go.

 

My buddy has a LS1, built motor to stock cubes with more compresion, huge cam and Lts with just a bullet on each. When he got on it, it seriously hurt your head it was so liud. Sounded mean as hell, but I couldnt daily drive it

 

just drive around with it for awhile
i said the same thing when i was waiting on putting my new exhaust on and had the old one cut off already
it was ear splitting at first, but you get used to it
