Input on true duals

I have LT headers with a 3" y and magnaflow exhaust. I am going to do 2.5" with an x pipe and i am thinking dynomax bullets. Does anyone have any pics or sound clips with this exhaust or something similar. Are there any other mufflers that would sound good or better and still leave some clearance?
Any input is appreciated thanks in advance

I've got 2 small videos that I'll email to you. One is inside the car, and the other is outside. I'm running LT's, 3" X-pipe and 24" bullets that dump at the axle. This is behind a solid roller 383.

Re: Input on true duals

I have true duals on my 1994 Z. I have Hooker LT's, 3" X-Pipe and dynomax race bullets. The exhaust sounds great, but if this is your daily driver you might want to think twice about the true duals. The exhaust is very loud at all speeds. If my Z were my daily driver I don't think that I would want duals on the car.

The turndowns will help keep it civil.
I run LTs with purple horny header mufflers, my exhaust exits right under my front seats. Its actually not bad at idle and cruising but it screams at WOT.

I love the way it sounds not loud at all in the car. It has a very deep tone to it at idle. I will post some pic's later.

Here's my setup... Dynomax Bullets, Summit X-pype and some European stainless tips. The size of it is 2 1/2" and does not rub or rattle against anything, even when it does a lot of suspension travel. Sorry no sound clip or video with this exhaust

Re: Input on true duals

If any of you have had a cutout you'll know how annoying the interior resonance can get after months/years of driving every day. I say run the duals all the way over the axle and out the back. Trust me, you'll still hear it roar with minimal interior resonance.

Re: Input on true duals

Dynomax Bullets will be the loudest muffler for true duals. The Flo Pro Twisters or Moroso Spiral Flows are quieter, especially at idle and around town, and they don't drone very much on the highway. But they still scream as much as Bullets do at WOT. I wouldn't have my setup any other way. You also may want to look into Sweet Thunder mufflers too. These are chambered like the ones on the GMMG catback. They're also quieter and are very popular.
