Injectors/ Fuel Pump question

Injectors/ Fuel Pump question
I am looking at installing stage 2 cylinder heads and I want to upgrade the injectors to make sure the engine isn't starving for fuel. Do I have to replace the fuel pump at the same time or should the factory pump be okay to keep using. The car should be making approx 400-425 at the crank after the heads. Thanks

Re: Injectors/ Fuel Pump question
The stock pump would be marginal at that level and I think you might make a bit more than projected. Might work might not, if it has some miles on it I would replace it just to save frustration of troubleshooting down the road should your new combo not performe well as expected.

Re: Injectors/ Fuel Pump question
I'm still on the stock injectors and recently went to an aftermarket Walbro 25 intake pump. But your stock componenets will be fine. If you got the cash, it won't hurt, but you need a computer tune if you put bigger injectors in.

Re: Injectors/ Fuel Pump question
He is running a cam with more aggressive lobes but similar duration so consider it a little more aggressive plus his head will likely flow more(not a knock I plan on homeporting myself). Plus have you check your injector duty cycles? Once you get over 80% it is time to begin thinking about upgrading as it is very hard on them to stay open any lenght of time. I am very confident that you are way over 80%, my car touches that with stock exhaust manifolds and a smaller cam.
