Re: Injector not firing HELP!!!!!!

You have (2) 7.5 amp fuses in the engine compartmet fuse block that contorl each bank. Check them ( I also had a wire at that fuse back out before and the fuse tested good and never found the problem untill I removed the fuse) Then the ground comes from the PCM. they are all on thier own driver curcit. I would be taking a testlight or multi meter and see which your lacking, the hot or ground feed

Re: Injector not firing HELP!!!!!!

Unhook all 8 harnnes's. Take your meter on volts scale. Turn the key to the on position. Put the black lead of the meter on the battery ground termonal and probe the small contacts of the injector harness. The one that leads to the pink wire. YOu should get battery voltage on every of them. Now put your red lead on the positive battery termonal and the black lead on the non pink wire. With someone cranking the motor you should see switching from ground to no ground (it might be heard to see and this step would be better when used with a test light) see what your missing

ok i went out and pulled the fuse block awa from the clips and to my surprise there are only 3 wires going betweeen the 2 fuses....not a surprise that the one missing goes to the fuse controling the injectors that arent firing......the other thing is that i dont see thuis wire anywhere is should be pink right.....my only those is that it could have backed up the plastic wiring roll but where to start any suggestions...and thanks for the good advice man

Re: Injector not firing HELP!!!!!!

There is only ONE fuse on the v6's feeding all 6 injectors. you might simply need the harness/fuse block from a V8 or tie into the harnnes and suply power by tapping into the fuse.

Re: Injector not firing HELP!!!!!!

see that would make sense but everything else works......if i did sway harnesses how do i take the old one out pull off the frnt clip ....wouldnt tapping into it somehow screw up the power feed....plus the wiring diagram in the manual shows that each fuse feeds 3 injectors? i think?

Re: Injector not firing HELP!!!!!!

No no, hot and ground are TOTALY seperate. ONLY ground comes from the PCM. hot comes from the fuses.. your problem is somewhere between the fuse and the injector.

pull your fuse block apart and trace the wire from the fuse to the injectors.

one side of that fuse is 12V switched from the large pink wire, and the fuse joins it to a smaller pink wire, which then runs to a group of 4 small pink wires that power the 4 injectors.

even if you have power at the fuse only shows your 12V switched power is there, doesn't mean there is a wire on the other blade of the fuse to give power to the injectors.

also I would run a continuity test on your wires as well. put one end of your tester on the injector plugs pink connector and then the fuse socket.
