I found a 94 LT1 Impala short block with 50XXX miles on it for $500.00 is that a good deal? What should I be looking for? Should I ask him to remove the pan so I can look at internals? I have a spun bearing and need a short block and cant afford a radical setup. I'll be using my parts from my short block to put into this one.

shortblock is identical, the only difference may be the oil pan/pickup. Otherwise identical.

 

well other then the cam, same pistons rod crank bearings, plugs etc.
