Any danger in using an impact wrench to break loose the bolts of my crankshaft balancer?

Im trying to remove it to replace my coolant soaked opti, but didnt know if the force from the impact wrench would potentially weaken or break the crank.

Might sound dumb.. but better to ask first!

 

Done it a number of times with no apparent ill effects. Of course I would not tighten with one.

they shouldn't be on that tight where you would need an impact. spary it down with pb blaster and use a wrench. mine werent torqued down much at all. they were tight but not crazy tight
