I started driving tonight and noticed that my voltage guage looked a bit low. I turned my car off after driving for about 2 min's. A very loud (buzzing electric motor) sound was coming from the bottom of the car, even with the ignition off and keys out. I quickly disconected the neg battery cable and pushed the ol' girl in the garage for early morning diagnosis. I'm thinking that my starter solinoid is some how stuck in the "on" position. It's not turning the engine over, just spinning. Do I need to change my starter, beat the hell out of with hammer, or could it be something else???? what does a reman starter for an LT1 cost? Thanks for all the help ya'll.

replace the starter, and see what happens, it is easy and it will cost you less than $100
