I'm looking at getting some new Plug Wires and a coil, which are the best?

I get paid tomarrow and want to get some new plug wires and a new coil because both are stock with 82.5k on them. I already had the plugs changed recently but didnt do the wires. Also are there any other minor things that i should do as some preventive maintenince? I'll have about $150-$200 to spend.
thanks

Any wires will do. Stock are fine, i went with taylor spiro pros and only burnt one so far. Again with the coil, stock is perfect. I believe msd makes one but from what i've heard you really can't take advantage of its features unless you have a very advanced engine.

taylor wires are the to go and i had a MSD coil, will not do anything on a stock motor but a good investment if you want a warrenty.

AC Delco and Packard wires-- that's stock stuff. Can get from your local parts house that handles AC,ya don't have to get them from a dealer, but price shop to see.

I would stay away from the MSD coil. Mine didnt last very long and many others on here have had problems with them. I am running a $15 stock replacement on my 383 with no problems.

As far as wires, I have used Taylors and MSD and both have worked fine for me.

I guess I am the oddball here. I have the MSD wires, coil, and 6A box. Had them on for 3 years now with 142,000 on engine and it still burns better than a new car with never any trouble. I am fixing to get the dist. cap and rotor from them also.

Taylor wires here on AS&M headers, with boot protectors... will never burn a wire again! lol i recomend OCV wires, even if you are not doing headers down the road, and if you are 100% get them! www.thunderracing.com has really good packages for them
